1. How to setup my airconwithme device to control my Air Conditioner from my smartphone / web browser?
To configure an airconwithme device to control and monitor your AC remotely are a three-step process:

setup my airconwithme device

1. Device Installation

Install the device following the Install Guide.

2. Wi-Fi Configuration

Pair the device with your Wi-Fi network, it is important to your device because it can access to our cloud service in internet.

 3. Device Registration

Create an airconwithme account in our cloud service in case you do not have one, and associate your device to this account, once you have done the registration you will be able to monitor and control the parameters of the AC in your installation.

2. Wi-Fi Configuration using app
Follow the steps below to successful pairing/connection of your airconwithme device with the Wi-Fi network:

1. First, make sure that the LED status is steady in green of your airconwithme device which is telling us that the device is waiting for Wi-Fi configuration.

If the device is not in steady green LED light status (for example, red blinking), you will need to clear Wi-Fi configuration of the device. To do this, keep pressing airconwithme device button for 10 seconds. After 2-3 seconds, the LED status will go steady green. The button location of airconwithme device is next to the LED light indicator.

2. Look for Wi-Fi networks available in your mobile IOS or Android in settings area connect to the network wanted. Also, you should be able to see one open network named DEVICEXXXXXX. Proceed to connect your mobile to it. The mobile might report that there is no internet connection in this network.

On this step, we assumed that you’ve downloaded airconwithme mobile application on your phone. If you didn’t, please do it so on the following link.

3. Then, using airconwithme mobile app, apply steps in: https://www.airconwithme.com/docs/AWM_Quick_Wireless_Config.pdf

Remark on step 4 of the sketch, it assumes you’re not logged in your airconwithme account. If you do have an account and are logged in, you’ll find the same button referenced in step 4 of the document above, by going to the Settings section from the main screen. In the top-right corner, you’ll find the same button to configure the device.

Wi-Fi Configuration using the AirConWithMe app

Following the steps in the document, the device will attempt to connect to your Wi-Fi. The LED status of the device will go changing colors for 2-5 minutes, applying the latest firmware updates to itself successively, restarting and reconnecting to your Wi-Fi network. When all updates are done, and the device is steadily connected to airconwithme cloud service, the LED status will be completely OFF.

In case that the LED status of the device doesn’t go OFF after a reasonable time (~10 minutes), you may restart the Wi-Fi connection process (from step 1 in this list). There is a chance that you have entered a wrong password. In case you’ve attempted several times and you are still not able to get the device connected/led OFF, consider IP/DHCP settings of your network and internet connectivity behind your Wi-Fi router. If you still do not achieve this step (the LED status of the device completely OFF) and you are unable to identify or solve the cause, do not continue with the steps below and contact us explaining your problem at support@airconwithme.com. Please provide us the MAC Address of your device, which can be found on the silver label that’s attached to the surface of the airconwithme device (or in the packaging of the device).

3. Wi-Fi Configuration by Web browser
Besides configuration using the mobile app, airconwithme device can be paired to your WiFi using an embedded page with the device. This can be used as alternate procedure in certain scenarios (trouble using the app, batch configuration of large number of devices). In the next steps you will be able to have a successful pairing/connection of your airconwithme device with your Wi-Fi network using configuration webpage in airconwithme device:

1. First make sure that the LED status is steady in green of your airconwithme device which is telling us that the device is waiting for Wi-Fi configuration.

To do this, keep pressing airconwithme device button for 10 seconds. After 2-3 seconds, the LED status will go steady green. The button location of airconwithme device is next to LED light indicator.

4. Device Registration
To link a device to an airconwithme user account, do it in our mobile application, follow the step below:

1. If you still do not have an account in airconwithme, create one. You do it in the mobile app in the main screen by clicking the Register.

2. Go to “settings” area of airconwithme’s interface and look for a section named “devices”.

3. In section “devices”, within settings, you will choose “add device” option.

4. At this point, you can add devices to your airconwithme account. To add them enter manually the 25-digit alphanumeric code located in a separate sticker in your airconwithme device packaging. You can also find this code in the silver label at the back of your device.

5. Name or password of my Wi-Fi network has changed, and I can no longer control my airconwithme device. How do I setup the new settings of my Wi-Fi to my airconwithme device?
If the properties of your home Wi-Fi Network have changed, you will need to erase the Wi-Fi configuration of your airconwithme device and set up the new one. It’s relevant that, you must have access physically to your airconwithme device, to manipulate the button and to get visual feedback on its LED light status.

Once you are next to the airconwithme device, you’ll need to keep pressed the button of the device for 10 seconds and then release it. LED light of the device will go steady green, telling us that current Wi-Fi configuration for the device has been cleared, and device is awaiting a new configuration.

Now you just must follow the steps on FAQ 2 “Wi-Fi Configuration using app”.

6. Wi-Fi pairing / connection process of my airconwithme invariably ends with the LED status of the airconwithme device going red and green alternate blinking (LED not off) and I continue unable to associate it to my account
The LED status green and red blinking in airconwithme device LED light is telling us that the device cannot connect to your Wi-Fi installation and it cannot connect to the internet and either to our servers.

The most common cause is because the password of user Wi-Fi has been entered incorrectly when it was asked during the process. Repeat the configuration process a couple of times.

If you’re sure (after some failed attempts) that you’ve entered the password correctly and your device is still in red and green alternate blinking status. The reason is caused by a networking problem.

You may need to review your IP, DHCP settings (are you using static IP’s in your Wi-Fi network? Is DHCP enabled?).

If still doesn’t succeed, or you do not know what to do, please contact us asking for technical support and we’ll kindly assist you. We ask you to provide the serial number / MAC address of your device so that we can help you better.

7. “Device not connected” error appears in my mobile app when I try to register my 25-digit alphanumeric registration code
Before associating the device to your account, the device must be connected to the Internet (through your Wi-Fi), otherwise, our database won’t recognize the device and you won’t be able to link it to your account.

To make your device work and link to your user account, please follow the FAQ nº 1.

8. I have moved to a house with an airconwithme device installed. What should I do to be able to control my AC unit with my phone using that device?
If it is a new house, you will probably have a new Wi-Fi network as compared with whatever Wi-Fi settings the device had (Wi-Fi settings for Wi-Fi network of the previous owner).

You will need to clear settings and create an account in my airconwithme and link the device to it.

Please follow steps in FAQ 5 which are explaining how to do this.

However, there is a high chance that you can’t succeed in the last step, because you can’t link the device to your own airconwithme account, if it was associated to former owner’s account.

In that case, you need to ask the former owner to log in to airconwithme app, and clear the association of this device to his account / release it. In FAQ 9, there is more detail on how to do this.

In case that you can’t contact the previous owner, or he has difficulty in applying the described procedure, we will help you to get control of that device by manually assignation from our end.

To proceed, we will need an e-mail from you at support@airconwithme.com. You must include a picture where is demonstrated the airconwithme device physically, also showing the serial number. As examples some pictures:

house with an airconwithme device

Further detail on that process is explained in FAQ 10.

9. I plan to sell my house, including airconwithme devices. What should I do to clear the devices and the new owner can control the ac units?
If you want to let your devices ready for a new owner to use, you need to release your device from your account. To do it, follow the steps below:

1. Go to airconwithme app and log in with your credentials. Once logged in, go to the Settings section, and choose Devices.

2. Select the device you want to remove. Choose the option Remove on it. This will release your device.

After you’ve unlinked your device, the next step is located the physical airconwithme device and press the button for 10 seconds. This will erase the Wi-Fi configuration and set the device ready for a new one.

At this point, the new home owner/user should apply normal steps for airconwithme device configuration (FAQ 1) to have control of the AC units using the airconwithme devices attached to them.

10. I get a “device already assigned” when I try to register my airconwithme device
This message appears because the device you’re trying to register has already been registered on another account, since our devices can only be linked to one account at once.

Contact us asking for technical support and we will manage the issue for you. The procedure we follow to release the device, so it can be registered by the new owner is the one described below:

1. We need you to send us a picture of the physical airconwithme device, showing its serial number. See below as to see the picture we need you to send us:

house with an airconwithme device

This will be used as a proof that you have the device.

2. Using that information, we will be able to identify the previous user and e-mail him with instructions on how to unassign the device from his user account, so you can use it. We will advise the previous owner that the device will be automatically unassigned from his account if no action is performed from his side.

3. In case no answer is received from the former user, or no action is performed from his side, after one week (7 days) of having sent previous e-mail to user, the device will be released manually, and we will notify you of the situation, so you can proceed in linking the device to your account.

11. I bought a new smartphone and I want to be able to control my AC units from airconwithme back again
You just need to download the airconwithme app (airconwithme) from your new smartphone. Once it is installed, open it and login with your airconwithme credentials.

Remember you can log in either using your airconwithme username, or the email that you entered in your registration. In case you forgot your account’s password, use corresponding reset your password.

12. I am not receiving any email when trying to reset my password
If you can’t find the recovery email, please check the trash, spam and junk folders of your mailbox.

If do not have success, please contact us asking for technical support assistance and we will assist.
